Experience space like never before: An awe-inspir­ing VR expe­ri­ence that takes place in space where the Sun and stars react to biosensors.

BioSpaceVR seeks to pro­vide a vir­tu­al self-tran­scen­dent expe­ri­ence. Self-tran­scen­dent expe­ri­ences are char­ac­ter­ized by the feel­ing of unity with others and the world. Our project is a bio-respon­sive VR expe­ri­ence that cre­ates an almost child­like expe­ri­ence of magic, awe, wonder, and inspi­ra­tion. The vir­tu­al envi­ron­ment con­sists of par­ti­cle sys­tems that will react to the user and their heart beat rate and breath­ing. It also includes music and audio  appro­pri­ate for the envi­ron­ment and nar­ra­tive of the project.

This project was com­plet­ed as part of the IAT499 grad­u­a­tion project by Zoe Temple-Sandison and Bianca Pricop, under the men­tor­ing of Bernhard Riecke and addi­tion­al sup­port by Alex Kitson and John Desnoyers-Stewart.
